Big Why.
 

Mercedes is a teacher, a therapist, a dancer and an activist working on educational projects for supporting quality education for children and communities worldwide. She wants to dedicate her life to serving others, and she is taking actions. Flamenco Joy Ltd and Believe In You project Ltd involve Mindfulness, Meditation, Mindset, Coaching, Flamenco Joy Dance, Teaching Spanish language and Culture, and selling products for supporting the Believe In You Projects. Flamenco Joy aim is to make people happy and relax, more confident and independent lifelong learners teaching them skills for life, learning how to learn and for work.

Mercedes visualized this important project for supporting children with poverty and education. Children are more than twice as likely as adults to live in extreme poverty, with nearly 385 million children worldwide experiencing that condition. According to analysis from the World Bank Group and The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Mercedes wants to create a better world where every child has the right to be happy, to feel loved and safe, to have a family and a home, and to be educated. I intend to do so by creating projects and opportunities for all vulnerable children and communities.

We all have challenges to face and conquer and COVID-19 has changed the lives of everyone. For this reason, she created an unique Flamenco Joy Cultural Event, a program, designed to improve children's and young people's mental health and wellbeing. Dancing is her passion and she believes performing arts, dance and music are the most therapeutic strategies for supporting people to live happier and longer lives. Mercedes has been planning and delivering cultural events in different environments like private parties, care homes, gyms, schools, shopping centres, exhibitions, and restaurants spreading love, peace, health and joy.

The values Mercedes lives by and which guide her decisions come from her beliefs in spirituality, wisdom, love, compassion, peace, health, joy and truth. She strongly believe that every person has the right to be educated to achieve their personal fulfilment and happiness.

Values to Make Decision

Mercedes grew up in a big family and education was not a priority and the lack of money taught her to maximise the best of everything and make things go further. Although she was thought to be bright and talented at school, she required to work to assist with the family income when she was only 13 years old. Later, when she was in her early 23’s, she made a bad relathionship choice and after many years working hard she sadly lost everything she once owned. When Mercedes was 31 years old she lost her mother with Alzheimer, and it changed her life completly. Education changed her life, and she thinks education can change many children's and young people's lives too. 
Although life has not been easy, Mercedes always retained her faith and achieved her career ambition working and doing what she love “Supporting Quality Education for Girls and Boys Worldwide”.
